TLDR / Summary
In a moment of serendipitous timing, I looked up “Dragonsinn.com” and saw it was finally available!!
I first registered it in 2002 and lost it in 2003.
After over two decades of wandering, the domain has returned to its rightful digital sanctum.
Longer Version
The original Dragonsinn began in 1999 as a free URL via dragonsinn.8m.com.

I registered Dragonsinn.com in 2002, but lost it in 2003 (as I was a teenager who -forgot- to renew it), and it’s been held by domain squatters ever since.
At one point, the asking price was $8K to $10K, which I saw as semi-extortion. I’m frugal, and I didn’t want to give that kind of satisfaction to someone profiting off something that was originally mine 💅.
However if someone else had paid that amount, I would’ve let it go. You’ve got to be fair, right?
I still had to pay a “premium price” to reclaim it, but it was far less than the peak and within my budget. Over the years, I watched it change hands between at least three squatters. I even tried to buy it back during an expiration window, but someone else got to it first.
In a recent late-night moment of curiosity, I checked again.
And there it was: available.
After years of wandering, the domain has returned to where it belongs.
Why Now?
Dragonsinn.net remains my current setup (I’m not about to redo all the redirect links—it’s just NOT going to happen ❌).
This felt like the right time to reclaim the .com. I’ve had long, multi-year hiatuses from this site. But in the past year, I’ve returned to poetry, especially some dragon poems I’ve been meaning to write for years. Volume One is nearly complete and should be entering final edits quite soon.
Reclaiming the domain during my birthday month (shoutout to fellow Virgos ♍) felt like a metaphysical confirmation that it was time for me to get it back.
🐉 Thank You
I’d also like to thank everyone who’s visited Dragonsinn over the years, and who will be visiting over the next few years.
Thank you for dropping by, for sending your emails and your contributions.
The poetry, art, and dragon lore will continue.
