After experimenting with email newsletters over the years, I realised the format felt more like marketing rules than creative sharing.
Since Dragonsinn is a hobby website, and not a business funnel, I’m shifting to RSS and monthly recap posts here on the blog.
This way, everything stays chill, simple, and accessible! 🐉
No blaring unsubscribe warnings, no provider stress, just a ritual gathering of dragon sketches, poems, and creative echoes.
Readers can follow along via RSS or occasional digests.
I’d like to try keeping the newsletter / monthly recap archive here, where it belongs.
1. Recent Posts
- Picture Book Dragon Art, by Charlene Chua (my sister’s art!)
- Dragon Tombstones (an offshoot from my #31DaysofGraves photo challenge)
- Passamaquoddy (Pete’s Dragon, 1977) (field notes and photos of Passamaquoddy Bay, which inspired the fictional setting of the town in Pete’s Dragon (1977)…turns out I live really close to the actual bay)
2. Creative Updates
- Wat Sam Phran, Dragon Sketch (my first YouTube art video; I’d like to do at least two more)
- Poetry collection is being reviewed (might make minor edits before publishing)
- “Halloween besties” sketch (see below)
3. What’s Next
My Trello board is getting a bit out of hand, but some of the things I’d like to work on include:
- Sketches: Viking ship dragonhead
- Terrain: Visiting Sipayik Trail (see Passamaquoddy (Pete’s Dragon, 1977) for more context)
- Blog:
- EU Dragons Part 2
- Dragon rocks/stones
- Forest dragon jewelry
- Poetry: I did have a Gothic chapbook in mind (non-dragon poems, in between larger dragon poetry collection)
This format feels more like a gentle-paced recap, instead of a marketing funnel. It’ll expand at its own pace.
Thank you for walking alongside.
