Dragonsinn Monthly Recap – January 2026

January monthly recap: recent posts, refreshing old posts, and poetry + YouTube plans.

Hi all, here are some of the recent new posts and other updates.

📝 P.S. If you’d like to follow these monthly recaps, you can subscribe via RSS or Bluesky.

1. Recent Posts

2. Other Updates

  • Japanese Dragon Jackets, K-Pop, Usher: Added several video stills from the 90s. This post has gotten messy so I will be breaking it up at some point.
  • Dragons in Revelation: Added a new dramatic image of a cool medieval tapestry print, featuring the symbols of power in the Book of Revelation.

3. What’s Next

  • Poetry:
    • I hit a snag on Reedsy with test formatting the dragon poems, as the platform is great for prose but kind of limited for poetry where indents and other structural or stylistic shifts are needed.
    • I’ll be trying Kindle Create next to see if that works better for an eBook version.
    • That being said, the last two quadrants still need a bit of a light touch, final round edit.
    • While clearing out some old files and folders, I discovered some non-dragon poems sitting around. One of these projects is a deadly sins themed one that I’ll be editing over the next few weeks or months.
    • One of my very short Gothic poems got an Honorable Mention in Dark Poets Prize IV! 🐦‍⬛
  • YouTube:
    • Trying out a YouTube Short for a WIP dragon poem (which may or may not make its way to the first poetry collection) 🐉
    • Purchased + waiting for a few dragon fabric swatches for a mini-series of short videos.
    • Experimenting with creating a PDF on “how to get your first 10 subscribers” (low-stress, non-marketing hobby edition).
  • Blog Backlog:
    • There are a few drafts I’m planning or need to get started on, as mentioned towards the end in last month’s recap post.

Thanks for reading.

February will likely be a mix of poetry formatting adventures, fabric swatch experiments, and maybe a creative surprise or two.
