I remembered I had “Christmas Dragons” as a theme on the old Dragonsinn Ezine – Monthly Themes list.

I went back to add in blog post links for themes or topics that have been covered. It took me a few years, but I’ve been slowly and randomly making it through the list 📝

I hope everyone has a great Christmas / holiday season!

Here are a few selections I had in my draft notes for this art post.

Anne says of this piece (via Facebook):

“Tis the season for putting up decorations, and these little dragons love the shiny baubles and are instantly attracted to this festive treasure. They also have a liking for candy as shown in my featured picture for today, Sweet Tooth.”

Anne Stokes is originally from London and now lives near Leeds, with her son and partner. She has worked as a jewelry designer, sculptor, and has produced concept art and illustrations for Dungeons & Dragons.

Her art covers a broad range of fantasy subjects, including fantastical creatures, enchanted forests, and gothic vampires.

Nowadays she paints mostly dragons, elves, and other fantasy creatures. Her other interests include archery, cats and nature.

Christmas Dragon Santa / “Santa’s Surprise” by Randal Spangler

Randal Spangler’s Draglings love “books and chocolate cookies” and have many cat and fairy friends (I need to be living in that world right now).

Randal began his professional career in 1977. He has attended over a thousand art fairs or Renaissance festivals in nineteen states and won over one hundred awards. He shares his experiences and memories through his creative and fun artwork, selling tens of thousands of prints each year to collectors around the world.

Randal’s artwork is whimsical, colorful, and magical. Each piece tells a story, for a memory to be remembered and an adventure yet to be encountered.
