Greetings everyone,
2024 is a Dragon Year, and it coincides with Dragonsinn.net’s 25th year online. This coincidental timing will only happen once in my lifetime!
I spruced up the site in the beginning of the year, and I’ve decided to continue a monthly theme for us to follow along with the website anniversary celebrations.
🧹January: Light Cleanup ✓
I didn’t do a lot as there was a round of layoffs at my workplace, and I was thinking of some professional development options to learn new skills.
I cleaned up some of the dragon quotes, consolidated some blog categories, and browsed different themes and colors for a blog design refresh.
🛒 February: Launched Shop ✓
Relaunched Dragonsinn shop. I had some merchandise over the years scattered all over the place.
This revamp includes more hand-drawn and original designs for something more unique. I’ll try out traditional and digital designs depending on my mood.
📧 March: Newsletter Reboot ✓
Rebooted Dragon Mail.
I imported subscribers to WordPress as I found my previous newsletter platform to be a bit tedious.
🏆 April: Commemorative Logo ✓
Some of you from way back when may actually remember the mouse-drawn dragon dude logo.
I only had a tiny version of the image, so I redrew the image by hand. It was a bit tricky as the line work was thicker than what I’m used to.

Did a logo sticker giveaway for newsletter subscribers.
🎉 June: Site Turns 25 ✓
- Posted Dragonsinn Turns 25, with a sleek timeline infographic on the site’s history
- Temporary tattoo giveaway for newsletter subscribers
- Switched over to a new web hosting company that’s more WordPress supportive
💻 July: Blog Upgrade ✓
Started a new blog category on dragon symbols and inspiration.
The first post is on gold Chinese dragons and money.
Also looking for a table of contents plugin to manage some of these longer posts in terms of subheadings.
🔱 August: Commemorative Emblem ✓
- Recovering from Covid (first time)
- Cleaning up technical stuff + trying to reduce Javascript load time
- Emblem (moved to September)
♍ September: My Birthday Month ✓

- My Art at German Dragon Museum (Lindenfels)
- Artist Marin Murakoshi shares her sculpture alongside my poem
These were posted retroactively in Jan 2025, as I had some catching up to do in other areas of life…
📝 October: Books ✓
An update and photo regarding some non-fiction dragon books I got this year.
🎙️November: Microcast Episode/s ✓
I might eventually narrate some of my dragon poems.
And maybe chat about something art or tarot/astrology related, as they are huge influences in my life.
For now, here’s a quick microcast on narrowing down my focus with creative projects.
🚀 December: Time Capsule ✓

I ended up creating a dragon memory box as I didn’t want to put a time capsule in the ground (in case I move, or water seeps into the ground and box, etc.)
